About HVA
The person behind the strategic support… and why the entertainment industry is the only place I’ve ever wanted to be.
HELLO, I’M HANNAH.
And if you’ve landed on this page, there’s a good chance you’re a creative who’s brilliant at what you do and quietly overwhelmed by everything else that comes with it.
I know that feeling well, because I’ve lived it from both sides.
I came into the entertainment industry as a performer. I know what it’s like to be utterly absorbed in the creative work, to thrive in the rehearsal room, on stage, on set, and to find that everything surrounding that work, the admin, the systems, the business side of being a performer, is a completely different language that nobody really teaches you.
And then I found the other side of it. The operational side. The behind-the-scenes work that keeps creative businesses, agencies and organisations actually running. And I discovered that I loved that too.
That’s what HVA is built on.
A genuine understanding of both worlds. The creative and the operational. The performer and the business owner. The artistic and the strategic.
THIS ISN’T GENERIC BUSINESS SUPPORT WITH AN ENTERTAINMENT TWIST
Most business support services are built for corporate environments and adapted, sometimes awkwardly, for creative industries. HVA was built from the ground up for the entertainment and cultural sector, because the way creative businesses operate is genuinely different and deserves support that reflects that.
The unpredictability of the industry, the irregular income, the seasons, the gaps and the fact that your network is everything and your reputation travels faster than any marketing campaign. The reality that most performers and creative business owners are doing the work of an entire team, usually alone, usually on the move.
I understand all of it, not because I’ve read about it, but because I’ve been in it.
That’s what makes HVA different. Not just the services, but the understanding behind them.
WHAT I BELIEVE ABOUT CREATIVE BUSINESSES…
These aren’t just words on a page. They’re the principles that shape every piece of work I do at HVA.
Creatives are business owners and deserve to be supported as such, with the same level of strategic thinking and operational care as any other kind of business. The fact that your work is creative doesn’t make the business side of it any less real or any less worthy of proper, considered support.
Flexibility fuels creativity. Rigid, one-size-fits-all support doesn’t work for the entertainment industry because the entertainment industry doesn’t operate that way. The support you receive should work around the real rhythm of your creative life, not the other way around.
Efficiency creates freedom. When the backend of your business is strong and the systems are in place, you stop spending your best energy on the tasks that drain you and start spending it on the work only you can do. That’s not a productivity argument. It’s a creative one.
Outsourcing is a growth strategy. Not a luxury, not an admission that you can’t cope, and not something you should wait until you’re overwhelmed to consider. Bringing in the right support at the right time is one of the smartest investments a creative business owner can make.
Creativity and professionalism can coexist. In fact, the most sustainable creative businesses are the ones that have found a way to hold both. You don’t have to choose between being an artist and running a proper business. HVA exists precisely because you shouldn’t have to.
Without even meeting her in person, we quickly built a relationship to where I was able to trust her to take the lead on projects that were key to building up the reputation of the company. Over our time together she helped generate ideas and was happy to work independently, without needing me to oversee every step of her work- through this the outcomes were always exactly what I expected and to a high standard.

Hannah is an invaluable addition to my working life. Our weekly meetings help me plan ahead and organise everything on my to do list. It is liberating to be able to delegate tasks, leaving me more time and with much greater output. I am excited about the work that Hannah is producing for my company and what the future could hold having Hannah on board.

HOW HVA CAME TO BE
HVA started as a straightforward idea. That creative professionals in the entertainment industry deserved access to genuinely specialist business support, built by someone who understood their world from the inside.
What it’s become is something I’m really proud of. A growing community of performers, agencies, freelancers and creative business owners across the UK, UAE and beyond who are building more sustainable, more intentional businesses and doing it without losing the spark that made them want to work in this industry in the first place.
That’s the mission.
That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.
And if you’re reading this, wondering whether HVA might be the right fit for you, I’d genuinely love to have that conversation.
